About the set

About OP01 Romance Dawn

Romance Dawn is where the One Piece Card Game begins. It came out in Japan in July 2022 and in English that December, and it set the template for every set after it: the leaders, the four colours, and the way alt arts and parallels work.

OP01 brought the game's first eight leaders, from Zoro and Luffy to Kaido and Crocodile. It also brought the first manga rare: Shanks OP01-120. That's still the card most people are hoping for when they open an OP01 pack.

These days OP01 is a collector's set more than a player's set. Sealed boxes are harder to find, and a lot of binders still start on page one with a Romance Dawn card.
